It would screw up the economy. Gold would be worthless. If everybody had a trillion dollars a Big Mac would cost a billion.

Of course it would but that isn't what I'm talking about. I think it would screw with rotation, axis etc and we would all die.

Its not like whomever ropes this thing would share anyway

on one hand,.. about 100-110 tons of dust-meteorites hit the earth every day
on the other,.. hydrogen and helium escape into space, 96,000 tonnes of mass loss yearly

the result according to know it all scientists is, the Earth is losing 50,000 tonnes of mass every year

    https://www.worldometers.info/world-population/

right now it would be 7.7 billion tons of gold, add an additional 229,000 people/tons per day up until they lasso the asteroid and bring it to earth

mass of the earth is 5,972,000,000,000 billion tons

My metric, for some time. when viewing WAPO or NYTIMES articles is whether or not the ‘comments’ section for a particular article is active. Though both rags have stated policies in regards to comments, it is abundantly clear that the more hosed up the story, the less likely that comments are allowed.
