I see LSU going to the Orange Bowl. I would love to go to the Rose but I don't see it happening. You can look for LSU to play either Michigan or Boise State. Hopefully we will play Michigan.

Boise going to Fiesta. We won't get them.

Looks like it's either Rose or Orange. I'm not convinced Rose would pick us over ND. They should, but tv ratings and politics plays a huge role.

That would put us in the Orange against Wake Forest/Georgia Tech. Not an exciting matchup.

I'm not going to go on a rant here, but Notre Dame should not even be in the Top 25. We all know they played only 2 good teams this year and they got killed in both of them. Their secondary is Sun Belt quality. The only reason they are even considered as a BCS team is because they started the season #2:eek:  and they played 9 cream filled cupcakes which kept them from being dropped out of sight. They really got beat by Michigan State but, I guess everybody has one win that should have been a loss. What really chaps me is that it is so obvious that they are a middle of the road team but the media just won't let them go away. The national media really should treat Weiss like his son does: When they stink up the place, move as far away as possible.

    I have a question.

If LSU is #5 in BCS today and FLA loses to Arky, we would move to #4 correct?

If so, doesn't that mean we get an auto bid as we are in the top 4 in the BCS?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, this is so confusing.

    islstl,

If LSU ends at #5 in the bcs after this week, all LSU fans should be pulling for a Hogs win. That would put LSU #4 and an automatic qualifiier per paragraph 6 on the BCS rules and policies web page.

Indiana Tiger set me straight on that very question in another thread.

Michigan will be #3, so they get the automatic at-large berth. Because of that, the #4 team does not get an automatic at-large berth.

There are no stupid questions about the BCS...

Michigan qualifies under rule 5, so rule 6 doesn't apply.

I think you were going for Amp Hill there. Amp Lee used to play RB for Florida State back in the day.

Islstl's insight is "rosey". I don't know how he does it cause that would give me a migraine. He's usually right in his predictions so I have faith that LSU will be in the grand daddy of them all. It's weird, if we play USC in the Rose I wish Saban could somehow help coach that game cuz he knows what a game w/USC will mean. But if we play Meeeeeechigan, Im glad Miles is the coach cause of his ties with UM. Either way, a Rose Bowl birth and win would be huge for our recruiting. All big time in-state recruits will stay at home. And our chances of landing others will improve (N.Devine, Tolliver). Things are good if you're an LSU fan.
