It's going to be extremely close. But I am banking on the fact that Notre Dame, Arkansas and West Virginia were buffers in between Louisville and LSU in a lot of the computer polls, thus the gap is "poof", gone. As I indicated in parenthesis, Louisville still will hold an entire spot advantage in the computer polls, but the human polls should give us just enough of a margin to make up for it. It's not a big issue to be behind them, but it would look sweet to be #5.
i really can't get enough of islstl's insight. He's been laying everything out quite nicely for a few weeks now. We should all pitch in and send him to the rose bowl :thumb: :hihi:
Well this week is an easy one...thank goodness. I can't take watching 5 games at once anymore. That was maddening. But well worth watching Amp Lee and his South Florida compatriots do their thing yesterday. So damn sweet. All I got to say is "Kirk Herbstreit".
Watch for a couple of things tomorrow. LSU getting screwed in the human polls (e.g., Harris and/or Coaches polls having Louisville gain on LSU...our lead should widen if anything). The other thing is their support of Notre Dame. I have them as good a ranking as I thought they might favor. If it's any higher, then it's pure bullshyt and they may be sending a signal to the Rose to pick ND. I hope it all comes out fairly tomorrow. Counting on human beings, not the most novel idea I've ever heard of, that's for sure.
Ah i see, UL won't really move up already being #6 in the computers but LSU will with 3 top 10 teams losing. I should know better than to doubt you man haha.
It's all good. I spend a good amount of time evaluating the possibilities. The BCS rankings won't be perfect, but it should be close. I am curiously awaiting Notre Dame's positioning, it could be as low as 14, but no lower. Texas and W. Virginia losing saved Notre Dame (as well as Georgia Tech possibly). Notre Dame lucky not to be stuck at #15 in the BCS after this ugly loss. Oh yeah, shouldn't Quinn Brady win the Heisman now? He threw for nearly 300 yards and 3 TDs without any picks. :dis: :dis: :dis:
Don't forget how many drops his receivers had. 2 or 3 in the endzone? And that TE should be dropkicked! I think he dropped 2 in the endzone all by himself!
ND will not drop far. The reason...they were beaten by God's team. Does any one else think ND is severely over rated? The commentators kept talking about USC's team speed on defense. Problably pretty darn good. But, where was it at Oregon State? It's easy to look fast when your opponent is slow. The ND cult will rear it's ugly head. Then, Charlie Weiss won't have to cry at his press conference.
