Unless you are in the BCS mix, what does it matter if you are ranked 11th or 13th at this point in the season? The final ranking is the only thing I have an interest in ... and even that doesn't really mean a lot. Given our offensive problems this year, I'm just thrilled that we are 8-2. Beat Arkansas and win a New Year Day bowl, and we'll finish in the Top 8 ... pretty damn good considering how this season has gone!
This is funny....so by your logic, Auburn shouldn't be so highly ranked since they only beat LSU by one point, on their home field..... And OU beat the hell out of Baylor and Auburn struggled with Alabama means OU solidifies the number 2 spot.... I guess we should take the rankings away from the BCS and the AP and let Vegas decide who plays for the National Title.
Bottom line is we were a 21 point favorite at home. You can't simply ignore that for your own convenience. F*ck the rivalry, that Ole Miss team last night had NO BUSINESS being on the same field as LSU last night. I do agree with your point on Boise State last week. I actually complained about it myself, and had LSU passing them in both polls (last week), and was not happy when they awarded them for playing a horrible team and needing overtime to do it. Although one poll awarded them much more than the other, as LSU almost surpassed them in the other poll. I hope I am wrong with my assessment. But if I am voting, that's where I put LSU after last week's polls. They are not better than Iowa, VTech or Michigan. Last night was the most embarrasing win in the Saban era. You thought Troy was bad, this was much worse.
