that is what i think. and it keeps going back to the original hypothetical of encouraging adoption.... most couples want a baby with the best shot at being healthy. and there are a lot more potential adoptive parents than responsible birth parents. and that belief comes from personal experience.
Being cut off from recieving benefits I would hope would deter someone from having additional children. Probably not. Dayum girl you're old. :wink: I know plenty of grandparents raising their grandchildren and doing a much better job than mom or dad ever dreamed of doing. I know one great-grandfather who has raised his children, his grandchildren and now his great grandson. Man is remarkable. Also plenty of older couples who would make great parents but have been unable to concieve on their own. By the time the save the money to adopt or go through fertility treatments are most likely in the 35+ age range.
