Here we go again. Sourdough, I've shot this tired argument down a half dozen times already and you keep bringing it up like a broken record. Your own sources don't even go that far. You can't distract us from Bush's failures by bringing up what Clinton "should have done". Bush should have done the same thing, amigo.

Clinton did far more to fight Al Qaida than did Bush did , pre-9/11, and it is backed up by the terrorism experts and the 9/11 Commission.

After the 1993 WTC bombings, Clinton got serious about Islamic terrorists. Mullahs were deported. He stepped up covert intelligence activities, established a terrorist task force and a special "bin Ladin" unit in the CIA, put a bounty on bin ladens head, and tried to kill him twice with missile strikes (hundreds, not "a few"). He kept military pressure on Saddam his entire tenure including sanctions and bomb/missile strikes which successfully eliminated his WMDs. Most importantly the Millenium Bombing plot was stopped, which was on a 9/11 scale of international terror. He bombed al qaida facilities in Sudan and Afghanistan.

Clinton also warned the incoming Bush 43 that osama bin ladin was the worst threat facing America. Unfortunately, according to the offical 9/11 report, no action was taken by Bush 43 to address the bin ladin situation until a meeting was held on September 9, 2001 -- two days before the 9/11 atrocities spurred everybody to action.

Bottom line: Clinton is not responsible for the Iraq war--Bush is. 9/11 happened on Bush's watch--not Clinton's.

    Not really.

    Time: Post 9/11
    Space: Middle East

If you liberals were capable of hearing anything other than the party line, you would see that all is not as the media would have you believe. Have an independent thought. Don't let others do your thinking for you.

How completely ironic that this line be uttered by a conservative that supports an administration that has wasted nearly $200billion on some dump, and that has outspent Clinton by nearly 30% on non-military programs.

Meanwhile, teachers can't get a raise for $hit.

Have you actually read Mr. Scheuer's book? "Imperial Hubris" blasts the Bush administration. The CIA actually let him publish the book anonymously before he left the agency because they were so angry at Bush's ignoring their intelligence.

Richard Clark's book "Against All Enemies: Inside America's War on Terror" would be an education to you too, Sourdough. Clark was the administrations foremost terrorism expert and he couldn't even get a meeting with Bush before 9/11.

OMG! Who are you? Ted Kennedy? The teachers not getting a raise have absolutely nothing to do with federal expenditures. Take your whine to Edith Babineaux Bunker.

Also, if I had 3 months off, I'd go out and supplement my income.

This may be true, but I ain't one of them. You've never heard me advocate "peace" here. I've backed almost all of our wars, I'm an advocate of a bigger military, and I've been lobbying hard for a tougher military stance regarding North Korea, China, Al Qaida, and Pakistan.

What I'm against is stupid wars that gain us nothing and incompetent presidential leadership.

In retrospect, the STFU was a bit harsh so I'll retract it.
