Yes, that is why I posted the following in the initial post of this thread: If the human polls stayed as they are regarding the relative positions between LSU, VTech, and Georgia from this past week's polls, we would have the battle for #2 as: 1. Virginia Tech...... .7593...... .7740....... .970 = 2.503/3 = .8344 2. LSU.................. .7720...... .7560....... .950 = 2.478/3 = .8260 3. Georgia............. .8309...... .8213....... .790 = 2.442/3 = .8141 As you can see, we are screwed if humans keep their relative positioning of Vtech to LSU exactly the same. But that won't happen. I suspect we will finish #2 in the Harris (they have liked us better all year long). I think the #2 spot in the Coaches poll will be up for grabs between LSU, Vtech, Georgia and believe it or not OU.
If I had to guess: Harris 1. OSU 2. LSU 3. Georgia 4. Oklahoma 5. Virginia Tech Coaches 1. OSU 2. Oklahoma 3. Georgia 4. LSU 5. Virginia Tech This puts LSU in at #2 in the BCS, with Vtech at #3 and Oklahoma and Georgia in a struggle for the #4 spot. Final rough BCS scores: 1. OSU........... .965 2. LSU............ .930 3. Vtech......... .915 4. Georgia....... .830 5. Oklahoma.... .825
yeah, but besides Mizzou, who has OU really beaten? Texas? Miami? Losses to Texas Tech and Colorado, that's very damaging.
Hey, OU lost their QB in the first quarter vs TT, according to Mark May. So please forgive them for not having an adequate phucking backup.
Stewart Mandel at CNNSI has LSU -- and it wasn't a knee-jerk evaluation like most of the above guys. He sat on it and pondered for quite a while.
I thought that, too. But I think he means 3 teams from one conf. getting into the BCS, playing separate games.
