What are other marquee games opening weekend anyway?
Clemson vs. Georgia is the only other marquee game I think.
Clemson vs. Georgia is the only other marquee game I think.
Thursday: Miss vs Vandy, USCe vs NC. Saturday: Alabama vs VaTech, Okie St. vs Miss St. Auburn vs Wash St. This is the SEC, these are all Marquee games.
That's the big one. 2:30pm Mississippi State vs. No. 13 Oklahoma State (3pm Louisiana-Lafayette at Arkansas) 4:30pm No. 1 Alabama vs. Virginia Tech (6pm Louisiana-Monroe at No. 16 Oklahoma) 6pm Washington State at Auburn 7pm No. 5 Georgia at No. 8 Clemson 8pm No. 12 LSU vs. No. 20 TCU 9pm No. 19 Boise State at Washington 9:30 No. 22 Northwestern at California (meh)
I'm going with 10-2. Many are sleeping on the Tigers this year, and I think there will be collective chip on the team's shoulder. There is also some payback to be had...
Not even going to attempt a guess until after TCU, but I am very optimistic about the team we are fielding this season. There is so much talent and potential...plus a new OC that could bring (please God!!) some explosiveness to our offense. I am more excited about this season than last it seems...but we have not seen a snap yet.
I think it's because it's almost a clean slate. A whole shit load of new players will be playing and starting, plus there really is no pressure on this team. They get to play without the burden of a top 5 ranking right off the bat.
The talent is there. The coaching is there. The new guys are going to make some rookie mistakes but if they can get it cleared up before the start of the SEC slate, this is a top-10 team . . . even with the tough schedule.
I think complacency and injuries hurt us a lot last year. This years team has more to prove. We finally have a real OC and stud gets to concentrate on the OL. The tcu game will let all of us know what to expect the rest of the season. 6 days y'all.
And that's a good thing too!! For TCU, if they pull this off, they are going to be a handful in the defensively challenged Big 12.
