I'm worried about a stagnate offense, and a tired defense. If we struggle moving the ball and keeping the Ducks O off the field, they will wear us down. We typically struggle with high tempo, mis-direction offense, so I think the best weapon we have is to keep them on the sideline.

Really the whole LSU team plays better in domes. I believe we are undefeated in domes the past decade except the SEC championship game against UGA.
11-1 in domes since 2001 season if my numbers are correct. They were all quality opponents as well except for one game against Tulane.

A few things I was struck by in the NC game. Thomas wasn't getting the zone reads and looked like he had his hands full. Even the over 350 yards passing, shows how far they were made to stray from their system. James getting less then 50 yards didn't help at all and will put a serious dent in your 300 yards per game average. Kelly made mention of simply getting beat at the line of scrimmage, after the game. Probably most amazing to all in duckville, Auburn's defense just didn't get tired.

Truth is, this is now the biggest opening game in Oregon's football history.

Anyone want to predict if Miles is crazy enough to leave the roof open for this scorcher????

TCU did last year, but then again, the summer last year was a baby compared to the one we're suffering through right now.

(and I hope and pray that mancha's prediction of 64 straight days of 100+ degrees is broken before then--but not before the 1980 Dallas record of 42 straight days goes down in flames on August 13th...)

That would be unreal. I'd love to see it. Since it's a "neutral site", would Miles get to make that call?

I think he is definitely crazy enough to leave it open, I dont think that Oregon will be in better shape that LSU but then agian I am not saying that LSU will be in that much better shape than Oregon.

    Strength - Advantage LSU
    Speed -About Equal
    Conditioning - Advantage LSU

Just wondering who they have played on turf? I believe whoever wins this game will win it close.

The heat though. Huge factor and would be awful hot for Oregon and possibly an improvement for what LSU is accustomed to. Not sure how humidity is in Dallas but can't be worse, for sure.
