I think that this will be one of the easier conference games for us (they are all going to be somewhat tough). Their offense is in disarray and I believe that our D has to be better than MSU's D. I'm glad we are playing AU early in the season and glad that they are coming off such a difficult physical SEC game. I think that two of their scores will come from good field position due to INTs, but we pound the last TD in with 3 minutes left to ice the game. LSU wins 27-17. Past performances and results at AU have no impact or relevance to this game. It is 22 guys on 100 yards of dirt.
this game is going to be won on big plays, whether a RB breaking a 60 yard TD run, or a defense or special teams score. Both of these defenses will be though to score against, but I think Crowton + the RB's is good for 24 points. I think the LSU passing game is good for at least another 3 and I don't see a way the auburn offense is going to put up more than 17 on the LSU D. I think LSU wins 27-14, with a go-ahead TD by the defense in the 2nd half and then taking the air out of the ball and running the rest of the game.
I feel better than I did before last Sat's game. The could only put 3 on Miss State..... :geauxtige:geauxtige :geauxtige:geauxtige
Transitive scores don't work...especially when comparing only one game...but I have to agree with you. Auburn's O will have a lot more trouble with our D than the other way around. But as I said in another thread, it's Auburn. It's the fiercest rivalry on LSU's slate. Anything can happen.
