It is finals week at LSU. We need these guys to make grades, football being a major impact on study time. This is a perfect time for a practice layoff. Here's to NO academic casualties this semester.
Usually teams that are bowl bound use this time to really work the underclassmen. It is one of the reasons coaches like bowls so much, it gives them a few extra weeks to work with the younger guys. Things might have changed over the years, but this time of year a lot of the practice time in used on the younger players. Of course, closer to actual bowl time, the vets will be out there getting focused on Okla.
By the way, in case some of you didn't know it (I didn't until recently), the NCAA limits the number of practices between the regular season and the bowl game in the same exact manner they do for spring practice. I believe they are limited to the same number of days, which is something like 13-15 days total, IIRC.
Come on LSU fan's Your coach just won the COACH of the year!Give him some slack for he knows what he is doing.Okla is doing the same.Coach Stoops is going to awards banquettes & recruiting. They will both be ready when the time comes & the best team will win. www.crimsonreign.com
