I wonder what really happened behind closed doors. Did the SEC offer A&M contingent upon Texas joining also, or contingent upon a team in the East joining and when neither happened the offer was pulled? Or was it political pressure? Or was the instinct to tagalong with Texas too strong? Whatever, if Missouri ever gets a chance to jump to the Big 10+2 , the Little 10 will be the Little 9.
It seems that the big 12-2 needs 2 more teams in order to have a CG. I volunteer giving them the piggies back. Ark can win the same number of SEC championships in the big 12 as they can in the SEC!
Just a guess, but I would say an offer to A&M was contingent on the Horns and others going to the PAC 10.
i would say the lil former dozen could go after tcu, but im not sure if tcu would join. a few days ago tcu was formally petitioning the mwc not to invite baylor into the conference.
If the SEC is going to expand it will have to look toward the east coast. I would like to see Virginia Tech and West Virginia get an offer.
pssssttttt...... the rumor bhelm is talking about teams to the big 12, aka lil dozen, aka half eaten donuts.
