Ever been to Starkville? Hattiesburg can handle an SEC team...but USM isn't one.

I agree. As I've pointed out several times I found it odd that the SEC and Slive seemed very quite during all of this transition. If that is my/our take on things then that is probably the take on things by the general public. Move quitely but carry a big stick.

I think Texas A&M wants to be in the SEC if the Big XII fails. The problem now will be seeing what the Texas government tries to do with the whole thing. Unfortunately, I don't think we're going to know anything for a while.

Thats what I meant on my first post. You did a much better job of defining A & M!
    Good Job!

HA! Barring political pressure? What the hell does this guy think is going on? the whole situation is about political pressure. If you take that from the situation then there's no sense in even commenting about it.

This morning's rumblings indicate that Texas has committed to remaining in the Big 12 conferecne with the remaining ten teams. Apparently in an effort to put pressure on aTm.

I hope they all do stay in that conference. Ultimately I want the SEC to stay intact as is.

i do too for a variety of reasons. first, i want the sec to stay as is also. second, i want to see the big 10 and pac 10 get slapped down with their raiding and 72 hour ultimatum bs.

third, i want to see this put the fear of god into the lil doz commish and get his butt on board a playoff plan. if they stay together but he cant see that is a way to help finance the conference and he keeps fighting it, then they deserved to get picked apart by other conferences.

however, i wonder about ok state. will they have to be convinced to keep the conference together? they appeared to be ready to jump ship asap, and boone was in favor of a move to the pac 10. and what t boone wants, t boone gets. if he is in favor of remaining they will. however....
