Now if the stars line up and the moon circles venus real fast and Red finally admits that he is a liberal and we end up getting both of them!!! Holy guacamole the big bad ass bully on the block just got a brand knew pair of brass knuckles and heads are gonna roll. The country would be littered with kicked asses by the SEC.

The logic is if Tx ends up in the big ten and Ou somewhere else there is a very good chance that the ou/tx annual showdown is all but dead. It surely won't have as much weight attached to it. If they stay together regardless of conference affilation they could preserve the game and a shiitpile of money for the Dallas area.

They didn't "give" it to them. The bong horns earned it because thier athletic dept made like 125 million smackers last year. Damn cash cow they are, so when they are the big dog in the pack, they get to navigate.

Dont get it either, they could still play each other in Dallas every year no matter where the land. It would make both of their schedules that much stronger.

And Oklahoma could be a big boy and decide for itself that it could make a lot of money in the SEC, and not need to ride Texas's coattails. They make themselves to look like parasites.

Here is the reason why Texas will look really hard at the SEC.

    BigTen Network.
    Pac10 wants its own Network.
SEC allows its teams to handle their own local games that don't make ESPN or CBS.
    Texas wants its own network.

No doubt, and they already know that. The OU athletic dept isn't hurting for cash believe me. It is the attraction, allure, whatever you want to call it of keeping them together that is driving this thing. Now if Texas gives them the finger and goes off to the big 10 then I'd bet OU would come a knocking real soon but if there is an option that keeps those two joined then that is what they will do.
