I still find it kinda odd that with all that is going on, and all the speculation of who is going where, who has been given invites, etc the SEC is still very quite. I think there is going to be a shock hammer fall that messes everyone else up, and the SEC makes the move that locks us as the best conference with no way for anyone to even think about competing against us.

The Big 10 has been down a bit but with addition of Nebraska and one other or more, over the long haul they will be a tough conference. Also, Pac 10 with UT will also be a tough conference. It is not good for college football for no other conference to ever have a chance....and as much as I love and believe the SEC to be the best, every conference has ups and downs, due to teams ups and downs.

I should have clarified, this is in reference to money more than anything.

baylor will have nothing of any importance to say. They are a parasite on the underbelly of the shorthorns.

The bottom line is even if OU wants into the SEC I'm not sure that decision lies in their hands (aside from the SEC extending the invite). Tx and OU are much more attractive as a package than they are as separate entities. Because of that I think OU goes where Tx goes. They just announced that Tx will have a meeting on Tuesday to decide what direction they are headed. Till then it is back to speculation and rumor.

I don't see that happening either, and while I would like to have OU in the SEC, I think the fact that Tx won't be here leaves the sooners out as well.

I know they are saying this, I just dont get the logic.....they only recently joined the same conference, before that they were always in seperate conferences (SWC and Big 8).
