I say we riot and burn Washington to the ground! Just kidding NSA operative.

They can try and tell us what we're going to buy and eat and drive and all the other shit the campaign contributors want them too but I'm not falling for it. I worked for cash before and I can do it again. You can't get blood out of a turnip no matter how hard you squeeze it.

If Obamacare is supposed to be so damn great the why in hell all the exemptions? Congress and the President should lead by signing up for it themselves.

The Tea Party representatives are doing exactly what they were elected to do. Unlike those other fuks that make campaign promises for votes and then ignore their constituents and pass whatever the special interests groups tell them to. IMHO. If we could travel back in time. I bet the citizens of old would have already strung up half of these son of a bitches and bitches in Washington for treason.
Another thing. These elected officials need to take an economics course. If your bringing in 3 trillion a year you can't spend 4 trillion. And you damn sure don't borrow money to make up for over spending.
And if the shutdown only lays off nonessential employees. Then nonessential is the key word when your running trillion dollar deficits.

Our government was setup on a sense of checks and balances. Unfortunately they forgot how to balance. It's no longer Statesmen/ Women doing what's right for America. It's just a bunch of rich pricks doing whatever their party tells them to do.
I must be doing something right. I have over 16.7 trillion dollars more than the federal govt.

Back up a minute. The GOP is trying to derail the debt ceiling into an Obamacare thing. The debt ceiling is simply to allow the government to borrow money to pay for the things that have already been passed by Congress. Having failed many times to defeat ACA by the legislative process, the Republicans have latched onto this to try and hold America hostage to their ideology even though they don't have the votes to defeat it. It's just wrong. Worse, its only going to increase the gridlock. Don't you imagine that when the situation is inevitably reversed, the Democrats will get some payback and do the same thing? It's bad news for American government. The smart Republicans are crawfishing on this for good reason, they don't want to ride the hellbound train. Cruz is just trying to get his name recognized as a player and he has succeeded . . . but at what cost?

So are the democrats and the traditional republicans. Get real.

True enough, but they are supposed to do it through the legislative process. Trying to go around it by refusing to pass the debt ceiling and shutting down government is just stupid and self-defeating. The last time they threatened this, the US lost its credit rating. God knows what this shutdown will cost us. The United States of America cannot pay its bills just to satisfy the ideology of a radical group within the Republican party. Jindal was right, they have to stop being the Party of Stupid.

Though both the so-called shutdown and the debt ceiling are symptoms of the same terminal disease, the debt ceiling is just a REQUIRED necessity of poor governance. To pass stuff and then say, we ain't gonna give the ability to pay is not only stupid, but wrong. That is different, though relate, to the ACA debacle.

They aren't the only ones trying to circumvent the process. Barry loves him some executive orders.
