Question : ( and yes, I'm sober.... kinda)
Vols program currently being shit on toast reminds me of when we cut DiNardo loose. They need to bring in the right guy to save them from oblivion. We replaced Gerry with Lil Nicky . Question: Where would our program be if Elmer had followed Gerry?? This will get some tongues wagging.

Would have never happened. Mark Emmert was too smart for that.

Les Miles could recruit, he was just stuck in the 70s.

We would have done well. Miles was run happy which would have worked early on. His problem was that offenses changed to the pass happy stuff folks keep clamoring for and he didn't change. He didn't adapt to that. 17 years ago the run would have dominated with how he recruited

Dinardo recruited well to LSU. I'll give him some credit for that.

In Saban's 1st year, he went 8-4 and in his 2nd year, he went 10-3. You can't do that without talent.

Obviously, Saban is the best college coach of the last 20 years, but let's not forget what a great job Miles did for us.

He won! A lot! While other programs have been up and down, Miles kept us in the Top 10-15 year after year.

Les has a lot of wins against coaches that have won a national championship.

And, it's not like we had a 3-9 season, or back to back 5-7's near the end of his run.

Les Miles won 114 games as our Head Coach.

In 2010 and 2011 he went 11-2 and 13-1 with Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee at QB. That's how good of a coach he was....In my opinion.

Had it not been for the structure Saban built in Baton Rouge Les Miles would not have been able to recruit the guys he was recruiting. He’s even stated that LSU recruits itself.

Miles would have been decent but we would not have had a NC and he wouldn’t have lasted as long as he did.
