I'm sorry to see this going on. I liked Pokey. She seemed competent, leading her charges to achieve at their potential. It's nice to have a La. player leading the team (not necessary by any means). I enjoyed watching Kim Mulkey at Tech, she really brought the ball up well and ran the offense.
I said the same thing yesterday, but the thread got deleted. I agree with you on this, Red. Not a big fan of Mulkey's, although I acknowledge she is a good coach.
She is a very good coach, I just never warmed up to her. Guess I am too use to Marsha Sharp, and didn't like hearing Curry criticizing her players. Of course, losing made it seem worse. http://www.redraiders.com/stories/030707/wbb_030707009.shtml But as far as Curry is concerned, that offers little consolation for a team that finished the season losing eight of its last nine games, including five in a row. The Lady Raiders also finished with a losing record for the first time since the 1980-81 campaign, officially eliminating them from consideration for the NCAA and NIT Tournaments. "I'm not sure why this happened," Curry said. "I know we did everything we could. We'll have better days ahead. We'll find a way."
I am assuming inappropriate behavior would mean the player she had relations with was a player on the team at the time of the alleged goings on. Otherwise it would simply be relations between 2 consenting adults.
Mulky would be my first choice but Bertman has a tendency to go cheap so I suspect we will see an unproven up and comer take over.
