EXACTLY. This is NO different than when Loren Seagrave was canned many years ago. He was the women's track coach and even though it turned out that the relationship(s) may not have been overtly sexual, he crossed a line that you just can't cross as a coach and paid the price.
Does Tirk have some inside info? I just hope this blows over quickly, LSU gets a good replacement coach that can keep us at our high level of recruiting and play and Pokey lays low for a few years and gets a head coach job on the west coast somewhere. Now, how does a womans basketball team make it with a male coach like Auresmo (sp). Doesn't seem he can have locker room talks while the ladies are changing. This can get awkward.
And if we were to get a fiery wench like Mulkey, that would make for some great coaching matchups in the SEC. Summit and her might have to take off their jackets like Brown and Petino.
Lets hope what Tirk posted DID NOT happen. Again though, I have a feeling most of this speculation will ultimately end up being true.
Mulkey has a good thing going at Baylor. Why would she want to come here when she can stay there and whip up on us every time we play.
I was just thinking the SEC could use her personality. It seems wasted over in Texas. And she is from around here. Maybe she misses crawfish.
shes annoying and seems quite bitchy. however, she would be one of the few who could keep the program from fading back to bolivia, as mike tyson says.
If I'm way outta line for this, then let me know....but I say, now that it's in the mainstream media and we're no longer speculating, bring the old Pokey thread back. I haven't laughed so hard in my life.
Hypothetically, she could lay low for a few years or get on The View and make a name for herself and protest her rights to coach. That might be what she meant with career opportunities. But this is all hypothetical.
