I say it year after year, the SEC just beats themselves in the polls. Look at the talent. It just isn't fair. No mater how good you are, you will lose a game in the SEC. Especially this year. I have never seen so many teams that have equal tallent all over the SEC. Any one of these team can just knock your xxxx in the dirt on any given day!
LSU's passing game better come alive next week. Auburn held the #2 rushing offense in the nation to 67 total yards on Saturday night. They also ended a Heisman candidacy.
Auburn is going to give us a game. No doubt about that. We'll have trouble marching down field. Usually do. Gonna need some big plays.
You could have had Joe Montana playing QB and it would not have helped. Dropped balls, dumbass penalities coupled with a tired and flat, O line and D line doomed us...still, they could very well have won this game. I said in an earlier post that the officiating was poor, and that didnt help matters, but LSU dug their own grave in this one. Flynn should have been pulled in the 3rd and let him chill for a bit. Help get his "crap" and head together. I personally think this may work out in our favor, With the big #1 off their jerseys the Tigers can take a deep breath. We,ll be in there in the end, Id bet on it. Now what do you want to bet the UF takes the wildcats "out" next week. Unlike us Florida has had a week to recover from the LSU game. I have a friend whose a die hard Gator fan, and I told him in week 1 or 2 of this season, that UF and LSU playing one another was really seemed unfair to both schools. One was gonna knock the other off. I feel even more justified it saying that now. I hope the Tigers take heed and bounce back. They better...If they take another loss, chances are they wont make it to the big dance for the NC. Now,,,,lets see how bad they "really" want it. :lsup:LSU!LSU!
I wanted JR pulled for MF last year and realize now that it wasn't the personnel change that I really wanted. I want an offense that isn't predictable -- that effectively mixes the run with the pass (and not just slants and screens). Putting RP in does help b/c he is hard to defend, but we still aren't really employing all our weapons on the field. I don't feel that our coaches are committed to developing a multi-dimensional attack. Maybe Miles wants to hearken back to Big-10 ball where one typically over powers an opponent -- dunno. But we really need an injection of offensive creativity -- and I don't mean more reverses!
Nice reply there Nutriaitch bud. But in case you haven't noticed... the 1st 4 games of this season we outscored our oppenents 165-23 with hardly allowing a yard against our D finishing 4-0. The last 3 games we've outscored other teams 99-76 and allowing them to run and throw all over us going 2-1. The last 3 games have also seen LSU committing stupid penalties, and again shooting ourselves in the foot in critical situations where instead of 1st and goals we're 2nd or 3rd and long. I'm not sure where the blame falls as our recievers are dropping passes, Flynn is playing like crap and somewhere down the road this season our offense and defense has ran out of gas. Regardless of how you describe LSU football, and trust me i'm a die hard LSU fan... but we're not the same team we were the 1st 4 games of this year. If you can't see or admit that then you're not only delusional but in denial as well.
Nobody will know because he wasn't given the oppurtunity. I know one thing, he couldn't play worse than Flynn did.
