That ain't the issue. Your denial that the Bush Doctrine exists is the issue. Look it up. It exists. And she didn't know any of them? You simply can't be that naive. Those guys at State are not fools. So what? It's a broad doctrine.
There is no THE Bush doctrine; there are several unofficial ones. I deny any official Bush doctrine. I recognize the media-created ones. None of the Bush doctrines have received a lot of press, so it is not surprising most people are not familiar with them. No, I am not naive. The people at the State Department are pretty smart, but most would not have known what the Bush doctrine was until it became a campaign controversy. Laugh all you want, but if Bidan had been asked that same question before the Palin/Gibson interview, it is unlikely he would have been able to answer it simply because there are several such "Bush doctrines."
That little blip did not "kill" her. She handled it quite well, actually. What "killed" her was September 15th and George W. Bush. And, by the way, Palin was running for Vice President.
As soon as I started to read this post many pictures popped in my head. If you think she's the most ludicrous major political candidate in HISTORY...then congratulations on voting for the first time. The "giant asylum for lunatics" can be found in Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco. That's where the peace loving, dope smoking, baby killing, make love not war preaching, anti-Christian, homosexual whack jobs live. You might like it there. :yelwink2: They'll probably agree with you.
Yes, denial. Did Gibson ask her about THE OFFICIAL Bush Doctrine?, No, he simply asked her about the commonly and widely known Bush Doctrine. Is she only supposed to be smart about official documents? You are misinfomed. The Bush Doctrine has gotten a ton of press. There have been books written about it. Press references go back to 2003. Just do a Google Search, they are too many for me to list for you. Two wild guesses. You know nothing of what "99%" of the state department knows no do you know what Biden knows. All that is clear is that Palin and you don't know.
Opinions differ . . . even among staunch McCain campaigners who think she was a millstone around his neck. That's what killed the party. Palin's credibility is self-made. Obviously, the Vice President has one job . . . Be prepared to be The President.
The fact of the matter is that Sarah Palin has gotten so much into the heads of liberal Democrats that they cannot stop talking about her. Her overall presence, the way in which she has sparked the Republican party, her discomforting ability to connect with everyday Americans and her down-to-earth appeal has Democrats absolutely terrified. That is why they cannot stop slamming her over the most trivial matters even after the election is over and they won. They see what most Americans see in Sarah Palin: an American Margaret Thatcher on the political horizon.
Whooo! I think you're dreaming, amigo. She ain't even a Hillary Clinton on the horizon.
Sure, Joe Biden's an imbecile, a liar, a scum of the earth maggot. And sure, he said that FDR hopped on TV after the crash of '29 to reassure Americans (when there was no TV, and he wasn't even President), and he said many other stupid, idiotic things because, well, he's stupid... but, he's our Vice President So lets let that smelly dog lie.
