Yeah, this had little to do with foolish youth. A collegue is close to the family and going to the funeral and told us that the grandfather was actually driving the boat at the time. This is truely a sad event.
As a member of NSU Crew (rowing team) I agree that their needs to be more safety on the water. I've seen way too many people drive boats at too high of a speed in areas they shouldn't. I agree with almost everything said above. Just saying that carelesness wasn't the case here. Also I apologize if my second post was a bit critical, it's just been a shock around Natchitoches. Thank you to all of ya'll for the support. I know that it means alot to his family and friends as well as everyone at NSU.
