Playing OK in the regular season too risky?

Do you think we can always count on the East to provide us with a highly ranked opponent in the SEC championship game. Remember when the West provided 3 loss teams to the East including LSU. Had we had a better non-conference schedule last year there would not have been a split national championship. And yes, I believe we would have beat just about any good team on our schedule and I also agree that if we schedule these nationally respected teams early enough in the schedule we have much more to gain than lose.

I want to be just like Peabody ... crowing about our Championship trophies and showing everyone our NC trophy and title years and brasso-ing #3 even before the Orange Bowl game is played, #7 if you count all the polls
