im positive we have a chance to beat UF in Gainesville. it will be called the stupid bowl and its the only bowl either team goes to this season. actually, if les lets this team come out and have fun, like he should have done last week, they can be competitive. that's all we can hope for I suppose. this would require us spreading it out and playing to our young qb's strengths. not only is this offense not fun, its predictable and boring. let the kids have some fun and maybe it will relax them a bit.
I think we get to 6-6. Maybe 7-5. I see 3 winnable games -- Florida, Kentucky and Arkansas. I don't see us beating Ole Miss, Alabama or Texas A&M. I don't think A&M is as good as the other 2, but I just don't see us scoring enough points to win that game.
See, this is my biggest issue with the sunshine social club. I stay positive that I will one day hit the powerball, or that I will be able to live like @tirk someday. Those are pipe dreams much the same as wishing Les to have some sort of philosophy changing __________(drew a blank on the word I'm looking for) Shit just isn't going to happen. I have a better chance of coming up with that damn word. Keep praying though.
Yeah I get that, but it's not going to do any good if the chess player does know how to utilize the pieces.
I said in another thread following the NMSU game that it still looked like there were some communication issues, and I judged that based on player interactions on the sideline. I hate to continually bring up the leadership aspect, but that's where my experience lies. @shane0911 can attest to this - no matter how many times a leader says it, or how many briefings are given, or how many counseling are done, there's always that dumbass that gets a DUI. You know what cracks that code? Peers. Doesn't matter how times I say it, it's when they police their own that makes a difference. If the same mistakes are being made on the field, it's a discipline issue. Older players and leaders on the team have to take ownership of the team no matter how much they play. Punishment in practice only goes so far. The coaches bear some responsibility because they are charged with developing the leadership. Change will occur when players commit to fixing the issues that continue to happen. And then hold themselves accountable for it. Players perform how they prepare on and off the field. When adrenaline is flowing, things aren't going as planned, and a bad outcome is staring you in the face, you revert back to how you were trained or how you prepared. Long way of stating this could be a turning point; maybe should've happened sooner.
