The very fact that this has now happened twice in two years makes this mess every bit Les Miles' fault. This is not even up for debate.
Eerily similar, I agree. But last year was totally unexpected. (A better coach would've expected it anyway) This year, I can't believe JJ doesn't know to just line up and spike the second play. It's so simple. I played one year...ONE year of high school football. I have a son that plays in 7-8 year old football. I promise either of us would've known what to do there.

JJ had to look at his wrist for THE FIRST PLAY going into the game. :dis: Or maybe it was just out of habit after getting a play but he was barely on the field, just off the sideline.
You misheard. He flat out said he didn't have communication because he chunked the headset after the debacle. You can see in the video CP posted that Miles calls the play on the sideline with the entire offense around him.

He did say that Crowton was calling the plays in the final series. However he also said that he called the last play because of the thrown headset.
