Especially when your quarterback isn't having a good day, your running back is playing on a bad ankle, your receivers are dropping passes, but your punter kicks them high and long and your punting team is ranked #2 in the nation in net punting. Then your national #5-ranked defense can stop the opponent and give you better field position.

It is a mistake to only consider the offense when assessing a coach's decisions. The defense and the kicking game has been outstanding for us this year and has won championships for many, many teams in the past. It would be foolish not to play our strong hand.

What a complete idiot ... I see you've already joined the "herd" ... Totally transparent playcalling in addition to a lack of a vertical game = IMPOTENT OFFENSE ...

Your stats are from outer space ... what game did you watch?

    There were 67 plays ... JR completed 13 of 29 passes ...

My math says that = 38 rushes

    38 rushes, 29 passes ... ALL SHORT & PREDICTABLE SAVE A HANDFUL

    Get a clue!
