True. That's possible. If history is any indicator it will happen, but it will not happen very often.
Just going back a couple of decades...
2005 would not have seen a SEC team in the final four. The highest team was UGA at #7, seasons end.
2000 mirrors the 2005 season (I guess that should be vice-versa) with Florida the highest at #7.
1993 depends on who you look at. The computer polls at that time had UF at #5. The Coaches had UF at #4. The AP had UF at #5 but had Auburn at #4 who couldn't have competed anyway.
So, in a nutshell, the SEC would have eliminated its own twice, maybe three times.
