This is pretty insane but there is one thing that should never be....recruiting and high school sports. Its as wrong as wrong can be.
Hey Tiger_Dan... Did you also play football at Central Private? If so, we may have butted heads. I went to Madison-Ridgeland Academy outside of Jackson, MS and I remember playing at Central Private my junior year when we were undefeated and won the Mississippi Private School State Championship. Since the original topic is Public vs. Private and recruiting, it should also be noted that myself and 6 other players all transferred to MRA the summer before that season and we only lost 2 games in the 2 years we were there. Almost immediately after we graduated, the school was put on probation for recruiting and the entire coaching staff was fired. The funny thing is that they took alot of the players with them to their next school, which happened to be the school I transferred from and also a perrenial doormat. They went 9-2 the first year, the school's 1st winning season in over 10 years.
