I bet you know what "Mountain oysters" are too huh?? :hihi: I've never eaten 'em but know some who have.
Oh, I hear ya loud and clear. :hihi: Can't be much worse than pigs' ears:  Maybe LSUdarlininTx might want to serve that instead.
Aw shucks, there y'all go with the Darlin again... You never know- if some company needs to unload 5 pallets of Lamb Fries I may have to make another thread
No, I'm interested....I have this weird interest in bizarre foods. I dont eat them, but I like hearing about them. I'm a sucker for that show Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmer. It may end up being a "what's the grossest thing you have ever eaten" thread... I'll start: Anything anyone ever tried to pass off as good seafood outside of Louisiana
Cowboy stew gets it's name from the days of the western cattle drives. When meat was needed they butchered a steer and couldn't preserve the "innards" so the meal that 1st night was a stew made with the heart, liver, kidney, spleen and small intestine (grilliades). It's pretty good. I still make a version of it using heart, liver and shoulder steak. I also like the grilliades when I can get them.
