My fish were not picture worthy. I have a blurry one on my cell that is not worth the time to post. An email has been sent to the Capt with the big fish to get his pics. I will post when I get them. Its only been a few years since the limit on snapper has been reduced. While you can only keep half the amount of fish as before, the overall weight of the fewer fish is greater. Mid 20" used to be big, now thats the norm.
I was kidding about them being extinct. They are far from it. Big brother needs to let the states set the limits.
My son holding a catfish I caught on rod-n-reel in Lake Cataouatche, actually in a canal in the Bayou Segnette area. We were out on Lake Cataouatche when I took the pic. I believe they're pumping Mississippi River water into the lake, now it's about taken over by grass. We got out a little late and only managed 3 fish. View attachment 12103
Man, you are not kidding. CS, you go get one, I'll get the grill going. I'll even provide the beer. Damn I miss saltwater fishing!
Yesterday a couple of us were sick and had to go down to the coast to get better. We figured we'd take advantage of the nice weather to cure our illness. Did some scouting for fishing spots too. Saw some nice stuff being caught throughout the day. A few pictures uploaded to album. http://www.tigerforums.com/members/lsugradin99_tk-albums-grande-isle.html
