Philly Eagles Owen Reason I Like College

Why? Does capitalism not apply to some professions? That's the first I've heard of it.

 

That's odd, the league doesn't have a problem with attendance numbers. If they did, they would lower the price.

"Fans can't go to the games anymore" because OTHER fans are willing to pay more for tickets. Come on, this ain't rocket science. It's supply and demand.

 

The Eagles owner now is denying that Owens signed that waver for the Super Bowl. So somebody's lying about that. Anyway, he's just gotta stop. There's nothing odd about a big time player like him holding-out, but he shoulda never showed up to camp. It's really the Eagles being stubborn not signing him yet. He's not asking for unreasonable money, only the money that he deserves as a player. They need to either pay him or get rid of him now and end this terrible distraction. I agree that Owens said a lot of things he shouldn't have said, but the Eagles havn't been very negotiable either.

If schools made billions of dollars, they would pay their employees, but they don't...

Teams DO make millions, so they can afford to pay their players 7 figure salaries...

Again... if you don't like what they make, never watch a NFL game again...

 

I understand what you are saying but something is wrong with that picture.I really don't blame the oweners or the players, I blame the fans who pay these outrageous prices to go to the games.

 

Then you're placing the blame properly. I am a bit curious though why other peoples' allocation of their resources bother you. Do you get aggravated when people buy big homes, or nice cars, or donate too much to their church? I'm trying not to be sarcastic, seriously. I just don't see why people get upset about this topic.

I don't go to many Saints games... but I wouldn't tell someone to NOT go b/c it is "putting money in T.O's pocket."

If I had the pay-roll to do so, I would have season tickets to the Saints AND the Hornets...

These people entertain millions across the world... literally the world with the NBA being so global...

I think that what they make is good... I don't complain about it...
