that would be true if beliefs dont cause killing. but they do, by the thousands. constantly, all through history. like clockwork, killing after killing.

and don't say christianity doesnt cause killings, because holy christ, it does.

at least if somebody kills for a somewhat non-religious cause like naziism, we can stamp it out and convince almost everyone that they are stupid for being nazis. but not your precious faiths. you need those. they continue on, these viruses. i wish christians were respected like nazis.

and people will even defend the killer's religion and say the religion was "misinterpreted" by the murderer. as if people know the killer's faith better than they do! religion is personal and each person is free to make up whatever they want. that what happens when you base something on ****ing nonsense. everybody is right and you have yourself to blame for being part of the culture of irrationality.

an atheist has no god to listen to. no magic instructing him. no voices in the sky to talk with that nobody else hears.

show me a conflict over atheism, and i will show you one that is probably short lived. religious conflicts never die. the holy land always matters to the lunatic, and his granchildren murder over it the same as he did. but we cant speak against that mentality, hey, its our christian holy land too! the baby jesus is from near there! if you want a conflict to last for eternity, bring some relifious people into and tell them that god wants whatever. they will fight over it for millennia.

I don't see any way that we would both make it out alive if they showed up at my son or daughters funeral and said such hateful things at such a horrible time for the family. There would be another funeral to attend either mine or theirs.:po: :cuss: :po: :cuss: :po: :cuss: :po: :cuss: :po:

I was thinking the exact same thing,TT. Regardless of their religious affiliation, you can't excuse the lack of respect for the families they have affected.

There should be no funeral for those fiends, just feed whatever remains are left to a pack of wild dogs.

They ought to head south to Oklahoma for that big shoot-out, but have them "downrange."

Seriously, do any of you wonder if this Phelps guy is so in the closet he's finding jigsaw puzzles and grandma's wedding dress?

Nightmare scenario: You go to the pearly gates, meet the Lord, and He sez "Why didn't you believe Fred? He was right all along. Duh."

But if society accepts what God tells them to do, and their actions do not interfere with the rights of others, then this is irrelevent.

Actions can be judged on their own merit, regardless of the beliefs behind them.

This is the reason that our government will not go through change. We get distracted by the wrong side of the story.

It does not matter that these people believe that their god is telling them to say and do these things. I could careless if that is what they believe. There is no amount of conversation that anyone can have that is gonna change their minds.

The bigger issues is the fact that they are doing this in the places they are doing it. If they want their message heard fine, every American has the freedom to do that, but lets give them the chance to do so away from a damn the services.

What is gonna be easier changing their minds that what they are doing is wrong, or convincing them that the way to get their message heard is on a bigger scale.

You can not stop them from saying the things because that in itself is a dishonorment to the soldiers that have fallen, just as much as what they are doing now.

We as a nation, we are so easily distracted away from the solutions of our problems and that is the way the government wants us.
