I also thought it was totally classless that Peyton Manning walked off the field and did not shake Drew Brees's hand and congratulate him on his victory. No matter how disappointed he was in losing the game, he should have done that. Kids are taught sportsmanship as soon as they start playing organized sports and I'm sure Peyton was too. Appearantly he failed Sportsmanship 101. Obviously he is a spoiled little bitch and can't stand to lose. Add to that the fact it was the Saints who beat him added a lot of salt to the wound. Still, no excuse for not showing some class. Take the loss like a man and congratulate your opponent on a great win.

What made Peyton's pouting look worse is that from what I've read Drew is a good friend of the Manning family and lives fairly close to Archie. If I'm wrong on this, someone correct me. Sad behavior in any case. I'm also glad the Saints kicked little brother Eli's butt this year too. :LSU231:

I understand that Peyton Manning actually wanted to shake hands with Brees but, ever since halftime, his arm/hand combo just wouldn't do what his brain was telling it to do. :hihi:.

He wasn't a bad sport....he had a medical condition.....Riiiight :rofl:.

Against the best Qbs in the league in the playoffs (Brady/Roethlisberger/Rivers/Brees/McNair when he was very good), he is 1-7 and was very nearly 0-8 had it not been for the Patriots taking their foot off the pedal after going up 21-3 back in 2006.

He also lost to Jay Fiedler and Chad Pennington.

In the 9 losses, his team averaged a scant 14 points per game. In almost every one of those losses, the defense played respectably and would have won had Peyton played up to his capabilities.

He has beaten a sophomore jinxed Flacco, a rookie in Sanchez, a washed up McNair, and an embarrassment to the NFL in Grossman. The other QBs he beat were Trent Green and Jake Plummer both twice (Plummer was fired for not being able to win games in the playoffs).

addai would've been the MVP had the colts won. i would feel bad for the guy if he didn't already have a ring.

back to peyton, i've always liked him. if the saints are out of it, i usually cheer for the colts which is perenially a class organization.

i really don't like eli, but i like peyton and i grew up listening to archie on the radio as the saints play by play guy.

while i've lived in BR off and on since 94, i didn't grow up during archie's years at ole miss and never got into the hatred of the manning family.

that said, this team doesn't go 8-8 without brees. sometimes things work out just the way they are supposed to.

in a 1/3 direct way and 2/3 indirect way, nick saban has had a hand in 1 saints championship season and 2 LSU NC seasons.

good post except I think the whole thing started with archie......... he should have gone to LSU. Also the reason peyton went to tenn is david cutcliff who also happened to be at Ole miss when eli came along. Friend of the manning family.
