Absolutely. On a different note, I wonder what the Arkansas fans (who are still in love with Petrino) think about Louisville's decision to take back the devil.
With that weak conference, he could once again dominate and be in the College Football Playoff picture if he can schedule a couple of good OOC games. I could definitely see a 12-0 Louisville team get into the top 4. It does hurt they don't play a conference championship game, however.
This sums-up how I feel about it. I mean, he was terribly dishonest with them before he even left. It's shameful that they're willing to take his sorry ass back.
That's not mentioning the discipline issues he left in his wake. UL ended up kicking 21 players off the team. Those that are saying "everyone deserves a second chance" are clueless. He left Jacksonville without informing the head coach to go to Auburn. Then we've got Atlanta, Louisville, and of course Arkansas.
This is like his 10th chance, and he's done practically the same thing at every stop. He didn't really go sneaking around to be courted by other teams at Arky, but he did much worse.
Yes, this isn't about a 2nd chance. It's about hiring a man that's been a lying, disloyal douchebag his entire life. For a University to so blatantly adopt a "win at all costs" philosophy clearly shows that major college football is all about money. Education and principles have taken a back seat (actually education and principles have been placed in the trunk) at Louisville. You gotta remember that this guy will be the most prominent representative of the University for most of the country every fall and winter.
