  2. If I was Arkansas he would be my first call. You know that guy would jump at a chance to get back to the SEC. His style of football is not suited for the big 12.

Or they go get Garrick McGee from Tulsa, Butch Davis or Malzhan...

The Facebook page "Team Save Coach Petrino" has gained a lot of traction in the past couple days, but the rally it was trying to promote Monday evening fell flat.

The site asked its members to meet at The Gardens, a popular tailgating spot on the Arkansas campus, to rally in support of coach Bobby Petrino in hopes of persuading athletic director Jeff Long to not fire him.

However, according to ArkansasSports360.com, only about 200 people showed up in non-virtual support, making it easy to question how many people would actually be willing to stand up for Petrino?
ArkasnasSports360.com reporter Chris Bahn tweeted Tuesday that the number of people on the Team Save Coach Petrino Facebook page, which was at more than 20,000 members at the time of this posting, was fraudulent and that many had been added to the group without their consent or knowledge.
  4. Local news reported that about half of the people that actually showed up were there to call for his job.
  5. Malzhan just took the arky light job, he ain't going anywhere. No rain checks in college football lol
  6. This was exactly who I thought of first. Fayetteville has to look better than Lubbock.

Rich Rod was another I thought of, though Butch Davis might also be worth a look.
  7. The Tube might actually be a fit for Arkansas.
  8. Yep. He is from Arkansas, went to school at Southern Ark, and was an assistant at Ark State U.
