I think the pass protection is pretty bad. Bledsoe has become an interception machine, and I'm wondering if this is because of defenders being in his face constantly while he's looking for his receivers. Parcells is also not happy with his OL. He's spent a lot of effort on getting his defense where he wants it, but he really feels cheated from his '04 draft when he took Peterman and a USC standout, only to have both of them fail to make the cut. It's how he would've felt if his '05 draft picks on the D, Spears and Ware, had not helped the team.
Stacey -- I believe Parcells said this week he has gotten 'pretty good performance' from the OL. Of course, given his cryptic communication style, I am really not sure what he thinks. Some of the media here push the OL as the problem, others the QB. As you can tell, I am in the latter camp. I just believe Bledsoe holds the ball too long. Besides the Eagles game, he has gotten pretty good protection IMO. But back to Peterson, I sure wish he would have blossomed here. Would have been great to have a Tiger on the offense. At least, Skylar was active last week.
When was Bledsoe NOT an interception machine? Especially late in games. His mobility is nil too. They called him the "Statue" in Buffalo.
Bledsoe only plays well when he has lots of time. Any pressure at all and he melts down. With a more moble QB, I think this OL would not seem so bad.
