Or maybe we could get a white morph of the Bengal tiger. To signify our white jerseys.

I bet that would cost some serious green.

considering mike and other captive born tigers will always have to live in captivity, that IS the world as they know it.

    another thought.

tigers born in captivity are now most likely born to tigers born and raised in captivity.

like most wild animals, tigers learn from their mothers. they learn how to stalk and hunt their prey. they learn how to survive in their environments. that is why we can't just release tigers into the wild. they have not been able to learn how to survive in that environment. contrary to what most people think, that instinct is not just going to magically take over.

so what does peta want done with tigers born in captivity? it seems to me there are two options.

the first option is to go ahead and release the tigers into the wild, unprepared to fend for themselves. if they are not killed at an early age by hunters then they are virtually guaranteed to die a slow or painful death due to being unable to take care of themselves in that environment.

the second option is to keep these tigers in captivity, giving them the best environment and care possible. at the same time work to preserve the species which could possibly disappear from the wild, and use captive tigers to educate people about them and what can be done to keep them from becoming extinct.

    personally, i prefer option two.

option 2 is definitely a no brainer, unless of course you have no brain like peta peepz. maybe that's your point!

I really liked what was said in the response form LSU. About opening an educational center on tigers. Can't wait to visit that when it eventually becomes a reality!

^@^$* these last few minutes of the day just won't wind down!
