I don't understand why we are focusing on this one call when our coaching staff and players made many, many more mistakes than the refs did. We lost because we can't decide on a QB and can't execute on offense...
That and the fact that Auburn played a damn good game. They took advantage of LSU's mistakes and came away with the 'W'. Not the one in the white house a different 'W'. :hihi:
To pull an old cliche' out of the hat: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions". The rule is initially designed to protect the safety of the players (wussification of America, as Walton and Johnson would say). They should have thought that something like this would be happening. Ah well, nothing can be changed now.
No one is blaming anyone in this thread. I, for one, am just trying to understand what the new rule is and how it can be interpreted.
We wouldn't have all these posts about this call if we would have won... and please don't try to convince me otherwise.
