I'll say this about the thread topic. As much as I've heard our fans piss and moan in wanting Flynn the last two years when we had a first round QB, three time SEC offensive player of the week, etc. it makes me hopeless that our fans will ever be on the same page but, unfortunately, that's the way it is with most teams. Same about Miles, most still doubting him most likely will always find something here or something there to criticize. fug 'em, I'm loving LSU football right now. :thumb:
maybe i missed something but rp came in not at the beginning of a drive but after from what i remember 1 or 2 plays for negative yardage or very little yardage. although rp's ability looked good he seemed kinda akward in a way standing waiting for the snap and kinda like he wasn't very sure of the plays that were being called but once the ball was snapped he looked good. hey, he actually stood in the pocket a few times and found the open receiver before tucking it and running so thats a positive. if rp is to win the starting job it will be on the field and not in any of these forums, with that said i still believe rp has the better abilities but mf seems more comfortable back there. alot has been said about mf looking for doucet too much but i think thats more of product of the play calling which had doucet as the primary receiver, we gotta remember doucet is really the only receiver with a lot of playing experience so i'm sure the play calling will work the toher guys in more as the season moves on.
Oh I agree completely. RP will be a great QB when it's his time. But this argument I didn't expect would show it's face till at least the second game or so..but I knew it was coming... that's what I meant by predictable.
Sheesh! Here we go again! :dis: Yet another example of "the most popular player is the backup"... JR starts, people beg for Flynn.... Flynn starts, people beg for RP.... Enough of this crap! Even if RP DID have "hands-over-fist" more talent that Flynn, RP spent the ENTIRE off season suspended (and knowledgable fans KNOW that a season's success is primarily accomplished during those "dog-days" of summer training). He hasn't earned the right to be anything but a backup this early in the year. And for those that feel that discipline shouldn't transend perceived talent, then I guess you feel that Michael Vick is still innocent and shouldn't have to serve any sort of punishment (be it jail time or suspension) ; that he should just simply retake his spot as a starting QB in the NFL.
Geez...I wish I could show up to my job about 3 pm and sit down at my coworkers desk who has been hard at work since the beginning of the day and sign my name to all his work, walk into administrations office, get a handshake and be told what a good job I did AND get promoted the next week. Man that would be living the Perrilloux lifestyle!!
And for the DUMBEST post following a win, the award goes to.. Based on their play, hmmmm RP comes in when the game is out of reach for MSU and they have given up all hope. My grandmaw could go out there are look great against that.
