If MSU corners could catch, he would've thrown a pick 6. Other than that, though, he did very well. I think people are just saying RP impressed...at least that's all I'm saying.
Matt Flynn 2 and 0 as a starter. Not a bad start. I'm sure Ryan will start out just as good. Our talent cup runneth over ! ( Hey Al, pay Jamarcus ! )
No kidding! I too would look "calm and cool" at QB with a 38-0 lead over MSU. Don't get me wrong, I have a quick trigger finger when it comes to firing HC or benching a player, but not after one fricking game against a creampuff. We have a new OC, new O-line coach, new starting QB, and a really young WR core with the exception of ED. It will take a little time, hopefully not too long, for the offense to gel. I know we didn't light up the field last night, but we didn't need too. GC called a conservative game last night, but he didn't need to go crazy against the lady bulldogs last night. Why give VT something to study for next weeks game. Im sure GC will call a much different game next week.
I've been a Tiger fan all my life, and one thing's consistent. The most popular player on the team is always the no. 2 QB. Whether they're calling for Timmy Byrd or Jeff Wickersham over Alan Risher, Guidry over Hodson, Davey, Nall, or Booty (whichever wasn't starting) Huffman over Howard, the list goes on and on.
Man we are getting a few new registered guest coming in with a first post that is just plan stupid. If your are a contributor it is easier to tolerate the stupidity.:geauxtige
There was one fan (kinda cute for an MSU chick) in our section with a cowbell. She had a guy with her with a Washington Huskie hat, and he loved ringing that friggin bell. LSU fans heckling him only made him ring it harder and more often. Eventually, someone started yelling out "More Cowbell!!!". It wasn't long before it wasn't fun for him anymore, and he finally quit ringing the stupid thing! He left at halftime, and didn't return...but cutie in the miniskirt stayed!:hihi:
Input from our members appreciated and the mods are aware. Some are kids who register with football season, some flamers, some good posters who just need to learn the parameters of the forum.......we're watching. :thumb:
