I can't beleive you people still think that what you saw out of flynn was all his fault. He looked like he did because of the bland play-calling from our coaching staff.Ryan looked good, and makes me very happy to know we have a quality qb in the back-up posistion, but have you already made your decision about our starting qb at this point in the road already?IMO, the ones calling on our coaching staff to put ryan in at this time are saying it purely our of racist perspectives.

I totally agree...I'm just saying RP looked good, and to the naked eye, he looked BETTER than Flynn did when the game first started. Just saying we maybe shouldn't be so quick to throw people under the bus...because they aren't wrong...they're just ignorant! No, No, really...I kid, I kid!:yelwink2:

OK, not so nice to you, Mr.! I didn't say RP should replace Flynn...in fact, since you quoted my post, you should've seen that I said "I'm not saying yank Flynn and put Perrilloux in".:nope: If you're going to quote someone, it's not real smart to do so without actually READING their post before you twist it around, especially when you REPOST it above your post for the world to see...again. If I was being racist:confused: , I would say put Lee as #2, and leave Flynn at #1...I'm a crackah, brotha.:thumb:

    Oh, and "i" before "e" except after "c"! It's BELIEVE!!:dis:

Did you all know that the term "you people" is sometimes viewed as racist when white people refer to blacks as "you people"?

Yes, but RP was facing more pressure. His off-field troubles give him just about no margin for error, on or off the field. And coming in to the game cold like that, and running the offense the way he did, impressed me.

My concern is the big games. I fear that Flynn - methodical and consistent, but not overly skilled - will not be enough against the top teams. We'll need a QB who can do a bit more than hit safe conservative passes and protect the ball. RP can do that, IMO.

I thought the same thing about RP having a different kind of pressure. But as far as Flynn goes, he's fully capable of making big plays. They just weren't NEEDED last night. If anything, I think Flynn needs more time to see who other "big play" guys are...besides Doucet. He'll do well...and the whole team will get better as the season progresses. Next week is crucial, but only if you're looking to go undefeated. At least it's not UF coming in next week, or Nutria's alma mater, AU.:hihi:

I hear / see what you are saying but what was the Peach Bowl ? Granted it was one game but it was a a very big game. Jimbo opened up the playbook and Matt executed it flawlessly. He can only execute the plays that are called. His confidence will grow throughout the season much like the other Matt. That said Perilloux will be more than ready when his time comes and so will Lee. Go Tigers !

You're right, there's no pressure in replacing the #1 overall draft choice at QB, be the starting QB for the # 2 team in the country on the road in the SEC, in less than ideal weather on national TV. [/sarcasm]

    All 3 passes.

Miami was a top 10 team, with a defense ranked in the top 5 in the country, in a bowl game. It doesn't get a whole lot bigger than that.

Like maybe throw a 50 + yard stike for a TD against one of the best Defenses in the country?

    Based off of the
1-1 10 yds (10 yds per pass) against USL
0-2 0 yds (0 yds per pass) against Tulane
0-1 0 yds (o yds per pass) against Kentucky
2-3 21 yds (4 yd per pass) against MSU

His career long pass is 15 yards. How do you know he can do more than hit safe conservative passes and protect the ball? I'm not saying he can/can't I'm saying that unless some of the people posting here, are members of the team/coaching staff, you have no clue what RP is capable of in a starters role in the SEC.

Right now, we have seen Flynn start 2 games, and win them both by an average of 42.4 points. Give the man a break.

Flynn has started two games. The score is 85-3 in favor of LSU. How intelligent is it to replace him and start a new quarterback vs the number nine rated team in the nation.
Wouldn't the talking heads have a field day with LSU and Les Miles.

I can't remember a mistake that Flynn made last night. Under almost constant pressure he played very well for the first game of the season. I like RP's poise as well. But comparing his play in the fourth quarter of the game is like judging Brohm's chances for the Hiesman after a seventy three point blow out vs Murray State.
