well that's the thing. we have seen one of them play and he did pretty damn good. and you throw this season out the window because his (flynn's) shoulder was hurt. i just see the same old bs from tiger fans of wanting the back up or wanting what they don't know. flynn will be the starter, miles has all but said that it's final. let's stop clamoring for a player that we really haven't seen anything of and give our respect to a kid that has dedicated the last five years of his life to lsu without complaint.
If Flynn wins the starting position in spring camp, which i fully expect, to me he has proven himself to be very capable of being an outstanding QB in his limited playing time, i would still like to see Perrilloux in more than just mop up duty in blow outs. He will no doubt be our leader for the following two years and it would be good to get him battle tested this season, if he can show that he is up to the task in spring camp. If he beats out Flynn in spring camp, then more power to him, it just would show that the QB position is indeed in very good hands.
yeah i totally agree. because i do want to see what he has to offer, i'm tired of just hearing about it.
I'd love to see what Perrilloux's made of, but you cant deny Matt Flynn his final and only year as a QB at LSU, that's in the case he does a fairly good job with LSU, nothing exceptional, just use all the weapons on offense and finish up the game with a W. We've got a great defense that will make W very easy...
God I hope not. I like Flynn, but if the starter has already been decided before any camp then that is not a good thing.
Meyer showed that you can play two quarterbacks and win with it. I hope both quarterbacks play. We need to get Perilloux's talent on the field while still taking advantage of Flynn's experience and poise. I hope to see Perilloux getting in more than mop-up duty. People say he's a monster in the red zone. I could see Crowton putting in a fresh Perilloux to give us more tools in the red zone for a key TD.
