i think its some of the members of this forum that need to shut their mouth not rp. some of you act like children and try to talk about humility. when wrong you say "oh, i'll just eat crow", thats really showing humility. the kid repeats what is told to him by his coach, future oc coach and team mates and you feel he should just shut up. i guess when asked why he came to lsu he should just lie, i quess you would like that better. i remember seeing a few true freshman qbs this year do much better than out senior and redshirt fresh. so i see no reason to believe that rp has a chance to start this year. the kid has a lot of talent and will bring something to lsu at qb that we may have never seen. all you sry babies should think about what your posting, you gripe about this player and that player not being a team player but don't seem to read your own words. instead of talking about humility maybe some of you should learn some for yourself before you start pointing. we as fans should support the team and whoevers on it, success of the team won't be determined by how many members of this forum gripe about what is said by a player. i think the members that repeatedly say" i'll eat crow if i'm wrong" should eat a foot when they are wrong and cry about humility.

Another thing to think about is the fact that he's still a media target right now even after signing day. Reporters can still make a story out of this kid because he's going to LSU and he's accessible being just an hour down the road.

Peyton, Eli, J.D. Booty, Brock Berlin, etc were leaving the state and didn't see this kind of attention day in and day out. If Perrilloux lived in California we would not be seeing most, if any, of these stories because life would be back to normal for him and us.

When baseball heats up, the girls make their Final Four run, and the Athletic Department contemplates the future of John Brady this will cool off for a while...

To those who THINK RP's statements are justified and acceptable, you have the right to state your opinion.....all of us also wish him the absolute best at LSU and in the pros, but wish he would handle his comments and his "confidence" differently...those who are ok with his statements will probably win this one, because it appears to be his natural personality, and that will not likely change

Oh yea, i THINK that Flynn will rule wire-to-wire next season and RP will be talking transfer all year long...It would not surprise me if he ended up at UT, MSU or somewhere that is less of a program that can gurantee him a starting role to showcase his talents in the next 48 months....

I am of the opinion that we win with dominating defense and a solid offense...we don;t need a super QB to win the SEC and the NC...we need a solid QB....and yes, it is my opinion that MF is that solid/adequate QB that will create an awesome offensive team

That is only my opinion and belief...

How many times have you seen Perrilloux play in person?

    LSU Fans want this:

Reporter- "Ryan, Why did you go to LSU?"

Ryan- "Umm I think Jamarcus Russell is the man, and I wanted to see him play in person for 3 years in a row!"

    Get real!

Of course he will say he wants to play!

You are correct, i haven't seen him in person...i don't need to to understand that he has awesome throwing and leadership skills....I beleive he is a fantastic talent just as Jamarcus Russel was talented...I have seen many clips on Rivals.com AMP as i am a die hard recruiting follower..

talent and ability are not my concerns...statement that he is making that are contrary to building team chemistry and overall team success are my concerns

If He doesn't start, i am highly concerned that He will be a neagtive to our season...and '05 sets up as did '03 as a chance to get to the NC game....

read what i say, not what you want me to say that allows you to respond with an un-related comment

    No, LSU fans want this:

Nick Saban: "I love LSU and the fans with all my heart. Thank you LSU fans, the greatest fans in the world, for everything. I am honored to have coached your beloved tigers in your wonderful state. The experience has made me a better man. I have strugglled for a month with my decision to go coach the dolphins. It is my love for LSU, its fans, and the state of Louisiana that has made my decision so difficult. That is why I held my press conference here in Baton Rouge. I want to hug, kiss, and just hold as many of you as possible before I get onto the plane to Miami.."

    ooops, wrong person. DOH!

Some people want "feel-good" people that say stuff to make them all warm and fuzzy inside, regardless of how heartfelt and honest the words may or may not be.

By the way, I think Perrilloux will get his chance to play...... in a few years. :)
