Im sorry bitter, but when someone is driving a car with a few others in the car and they claim that is not mine joint it is all too common. I see it on Cops all the time and I laugh my a$$ off each time. It is funny because you know if it was a LSU or USC player you would say the same as I am. I really dont care if he is a pothead or not but I have to point that out to you. I am sure the judge saw it wasnt some kid with a histroy of crimes and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. This QB got very lucky and he better do the same RP will have to do to show he is not a troubled athlete.

How about........ "I did not have sexual relations with that woman". :hihi:

Course, just like he didn't inhale, I guess cigars don't count.

First, I just want to state that RP's contributions to the LSU football program are by far my highest concerns regarding this matter but since that has been discussed in depth here I just wanted to give my perspective on how this could damage his potential NFL future.

I think RP will end up being LSU's starting QB in 2008 and 2009. I think he will play well.

But now more than ever it is important for college football players to live their lives within the bounds of the law because NFL franchises are not as willing to take "risks" on those "red flag" type players coming out of college and it sounds like RP is in danger of injuring his NFL draft prospects if he does not get his act together

My cousin from Birmingham just called. He knows some LSU alumni (like himself) who went to the TAF deal in Monroe. One of them sat at the same table with Les Miles. According to my cousin, Miles told the alumni that Perrilloux may not start at all for LSU - ever. He said Perrilloux does not want to work, doesn't know the playbook and is overweight. Miles said right now it looks like Jarrett Lee will be the backup next year.

Now, I don't know how credible this is. The first question that came to my mind is, why would Miles tell someone he does not even know such a thing. And if he did, why? Take it for what it's worth.

I don't post grapevine stuff that hear very often b/c I can't prove it and I don't like rumors on the internet, but I've heard the work ethic thing from several different people who are much closer to it than I am.

I don't go to practice, so I don't know. But when you hear the same thing from different people, you start wondering if it's true. Of course, it could be just one person making all this up and telling many people who repeat it to fans like you and me. Who knows.

But we do know Miles has a problem with RP these days.

the problem i have with the story BB is that it is not like miles to trash a kid to other people. just like he does not throw kids under the bus when dealing with the media. we have seen that he is willing to take the heat from media and fans rather than discuss his players.

Why do you imagine that he did? I mean, Miles didn't say anything on the record. This is something that you said . . . and you heard it from your cousin . . . who heard it from some LSU alumni . . .

    Geez.

Here is what Miles actually said on the record. From today's Advocate

Miles wouldn't know if Perrilloux will play or not since he will be leaving after this season to coach Michigan after Carr resigns. His dog told me.
