If he gets kicked off the team for this, I'll be pi$$ed.:angryfire It's nothing. He's young. Ya'll wouldn't believe some of the crap I did when I was his age. Now I'm married, have 2 kids, go to church and I'm a Senior Account Executive at a Mortgage & Investment firm. It's not a character flaw, it's a little lack of judgement during the offseason. I know current players who have done things WAY worse. I ain't mad at 'em. They are in college. College kids do stuff like this. It's harmless. Give him his punishment and move on. I feel like some of you are actually rooting for him to get the axe. We should rally around him and encourage him to learn from his mistakes....not turn on him.

You can be the biggest loser and still be a great leader\player on the football field.

Didn't Payton Manning flash his man berries to a female one time or something stupid like that. That's pretty poor judgment along with a lack of character. Doesn't effect his ability on the field one bit. That argument holds no water.

Relax. I don't see anyone rooting for him to be kicked off. Miles suspended him and we're discussing it. That's the purpose of this board.

Damn, I sound like those stuck up moderators.:hihi:

He didn't gamble. I go to casinos once a week here in Biloxi and I don't gamble. Stop jumping to conclusions. You shouldn't cast stones, brother.

How many other times has RP been cited for using someone else's ID? And why does your theory of "if he does it once he must do it many times without us knowing" hold for RP but not Payton Manning?

I can cast stones, though. First of all, I don't have a problem living in a glass house. And I'm sorry, but if you think it's jumping to conclusions to think that someone using a fake ID to enter a casino while underage might try to gamble, well we just have to agree to disagree.

Like TW said, no one, myself included, is rooting for him to get kicked off the team. We are merely venting...because we're pi$$ed at him for AGAIN embarassing LSU! . It's not the first time, and there is no reason to think it will be the last...if he remains a :eek:ldskule: .

    A few comments:

    1. Perrilloux received a misdemeanor summons. A ticket. He never saw a cell. This is petty, victimless crime that most of us didn't know existed. Hell, I've been in many a bar as an underaged teenager and got told to hit the street sometimes, but I never knew I could be ticketed for it.

    2. Perrilloux rates his suspension for once again embarassing LSU in the media. He should probably sit out game one.

    3. Perrilloux doesn't rate dismissal for such a minor incident. If every school in the SEC dismissed players for petty misdemeanors like speeding, passing bad checks, fights, noise code violations, etc., all the teams would lose a lot of players. Les quickly dismisssed players for commiting felonies involving victims, which is commendable and important. It is equally important to recognize that a non-violent misdemeanor is quite different.

    4. Perrilloux was one of many dozens of potential witnesses to a suspected counterfeiting ring. Interviewing with investigators is not a crime nor an indication of involvement in a crime. Perrilloux was not charged with a crime and the matter is over as far as anyone can tell. That is all that is on the record. Rumors that make any more of this can't seem to document them with a source on the record.

    5. Perrilloux is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. After bringing LSU nothing but bad press and being unable to pass Russell or Flynn to make a significant contribution to the team, . . . you'd think a fellow would be smart enough to keep his nose clean. He made himself a high-profile player and he is going to get a lot of media attention. He better damn well start delivering some positive press and spectacular football to remain an asset to the team. That is the message I suspect Les is giving him.

I didn't intend to suggest that he may commit this particular violation all the time. It's the FACT that there are other violations from which to choose, along with the little fed. inv. thingy. Dude seems to find trouble, that's all.
