what most are doing here is making judgement based on hearsay. outside of traffic tickets and a borrowed ID what else do you know? he had a fake 20 in his wallet knowingly or unknowingly?

if unknowingly do the prior 2 justify kicking a player off the team? of course not.

so unless you are privy to that info speak up. otherwise you're agreeing with throwing away a kid's future based on crap info. is there anything more irresponsible than that?

the writer has a responsibility. the idiot fanbases obviously do not. well obviously neither do.

exactly. whatever the coach decides I'm certain will be the just decision given how he's handled prior incidents. he will not only do what's in the best interest of the team but he also cares for kids/family which counts for something in my book.

its ok to share an opinion RP has been a distraction whether justified or not. hes a high profile recruit that will get headlines when he scratches his ass. im sure he's understanding this better each second.

Im simply saying no one here has the info to justify throwing out the baby rp with the bath water.

I say take it for what it is. Suspend him for a game or two.....lesson learned. Let's move on. I'm willing to bet that 98% of members on this forum have used someone else's ID at one point or another. We all turned out to be pretty darn good people. He didn't hurt anyone, cost anyone money, or damage anyone's property. Let's move on and hope that everyone else does the same.

Only when lying to a girl about who I really was. I could get into a bar at 14. And if my Dad had found out I wouldn't have made to 15.

I've never used someone else's ID. There was this one time in Vegas though when I used my bride's Visa card. She "suspended" me for a couple of weeks. :hihi:

Back when the legal drinking age in New Orleans was 18, they didn't card at all. We'd posse up 30 deep in Biloxi and cruise over and party all night long in the Quarter at 15 and 16 years old. If we did get carded, we had an 18 year old's ID on our person. They would look at the date and let you right in. Drinkin' with Lincoln at the Gold Mine was a favorite. $5 to get in. Nickel draft all night long. That beer was so old, nasty and stale, but we loved it. Looking back, it was kinda dangerous, but we had a good time.

As outspoken as I have been against RP in this thread, I for one have never said I think he should be thrown off the team permanantly. The whole jist of my ranting has been this-

RP did a stupid thing, to say the very least, which shows a lack of leadership required by a QB, a lack of judgement, and yes, IMHO, a lack of character. All that not even taking into consideration that his name has been recently linked to a federal investigation concerning counterfeiting. Taking that into consideration makes this even more stupid. Even then, that's not taking into account any other minor offenses he has comitted, and been caught doing so...even if it is just traffic violations. It wasn't one or two traffic violations, it was numerous traffic violations. Now I won't say ANY # of traffic violations says anything about his character. But they do say something about his intelligence, and judgement, especially when all of these things are added together. These are the things that everyone IS privy to. I'll leave it up to CLM to decide his fate, taking into account all that WE know, as well as all HE knows. Just a hunch, but I bet he knows more than us...and probably even he doesn't know the whole story with RP.

Were you an LSU football player? And besides, you're talking about drinking...this is about an athlete gambling...illegally.

Ah, the good ole days. Was buying beer at 15 in BR. Had the key to a key club in the back of a package liquor store at 16.

Don't know how young people survive today.:thumb:
