But seriously, I'm like most people in not wanting to see him go. Hell I think that if you are old enough to give your life in war for our country, you are old enough to drink till your liver raisins and piss all your money down the drain in a casino. I was just merely pointing out the fact that the reaction to this "incident" was different from the 3 or so no names that got dismissed a while back. Obviously not as serious, but they also weren't involved in a federal investigation just a mere few months ago.

Conclusion: let him stay, call it planning for the future, er... salvaging the future.

For what it's worth, I'd be saying this was no big deal if he was a 3rd string offensive lineman. Hell, even if RP does not come back to the team (and I think that is a huge IF), it's not going to damper our MNC hopes.

And yes, if all Kyle Anderson did was get in a bar fight, then yes, it was a wrong decision to kick him off. Now, if he'd had a history of getting in fights (meaning he did it often, not just twice) and was in Miles' doghouse to begin with, that's a different story.

 

I guess it's pretty easy to beat the young man up over this. However, looking at this from my glass house, I choose to throw no stones.

I always enjoy the apologists for folk using a fake id, or underage drinking. Just because I was one of the great offenders of my day doesn't mean I will give a pass to anyone who does the same.

I also drove while blind, doesn't make that concept any more palatable.

Least you forget, it may be a joke to the "under aged" to circumvent the system. The folk that own the casinos, bars, and package stores are also put at risk when a kid breaks the law and uses those services. The fines and potential loss of license\livelihood that they face should have no bearing on the actions of one RP. After all, he is only a kid....., others can pay for his mistakes.

Don't like the rules, work to change them. If you decide to just break them instead, that is your right; just be willing to pay the penalty. You do have a choice.
