Actually found a youtube video of that game... it's the second school he plays in this video, the ones in blue and white. One run he had against us was just ridicilous, starts at 4:46 http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZNimZEy0eXc
Yeah I think people have kind of forgotten how ridiculous he was in high school.. And he wasn't playing against weak teams or anything, he played against the best in Louisiana. He's a phenomenal talent. I just hope he gets to see the field and show some of that talent.
I found this statement to be very interesting. This is the first I've heard of RP having to go through a pretrial diversion program for the counterfeit incident. Sounds like it wasn't as innocent as some people wanted it to be.
I have doubts about that unless you are insinuating Flynn will not be up to par. If Flynn plays well then Perriloux's actions this season are mop-up duty. I've never seen a QB given playing time to "get him ready for next season". He plays in blow-outs this season. That's it. Saban proved that QB by committee doesn't work. He was too quick to pull Randall for Russell and vice versa. Don't expect Miles to be that quick at the trigger. This is Flynns team...he has earned it.
Go research some of Crowton's past. He likes to get the job done with a few QBs to mix it up and add wrinkles throughout the season and has had great success. I dont think they will throw him out there too early but he will see some meaningful playing time if everything goes to plan. However, Flynn is a senior on Miles' team so therefore Flynn could be the only meaningful starter if Flynn isnt too banged up throughout the season. I will say that there is no way that RP doesnt get any meanigful playing time this year. He might be used mostly for mop-up duty in the beginning but not the entire year. Many backup QBs have been given experience for the following season.
This is exactly my thoughts on this subject so hopefully he's learned an important lesson having said that thank god he is back. I can't wait to see him in mop up or back up duties but until then Flynn will be fun to watch also after being a back up all these years!
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2960812 Question: The article above says Nick Saban persuaded Perrilloux to join the Tigers. I believe that is false. My understanding was Perrilloux was going to UT in Texas and changed his mind when Coach Miles was the new coach at LSU. Does anyone remember this? Or am I off track with this?
