How do you think Perrilloux will be used this season? It's pretty obvious that Flynn is the starter. But besides playing in blowouts can you guys see Perrilloux being used in a Tim Tebow type role from last year's Florida team?
From the start he will not get much meaningful playing time in order to get Flynn in the groove. Very minimal I expect. However, towards the middle of the season I suspect that Crowton will add a new wrinkle to his dynamic offense. Or at least try it. Flynn will need someone to give him rest and Miles will want to get RP some playing time before he takes the reigns next year. Flynn will be a senior and get most of the reps towards the end of the season unless RP looks really good out there but Flynn will still get 75% of the snaps.
I dont know why everyone thinks of Perrilloux as a runner. The advantage Perrilloux has over Flynn is not his running abilities. They're both very good runners. It's Perrilloux's rediculous arm that is the difference.
I think a lot of people go by NCAA the game. RP has like 86 speed while Flynn has 72 That's why I always thought RP was the runner
I think it's because when he came out he was a considered a dual threat qb and was the number 1 recruit in the country. That makes people think he can run like Mike Vick instead of having the arm of a pro style qb.
RP is a better runner than Flynn, but Flynn has better straight line speed. Flynn doesn't have good moves out in the open, while Ryan does.
That's all true. From what I've seen in practice, they're both fast QBs. Flynn will attack the holes really well, but Perrilloux has a great ability of making people miss. But I'd still consider Perrilloux in a JR role. I dont think he can run like Tebow, the hard nosed Broussard-like way, and can get injured if he does. But that arm Perrilloux's got is just rediculous. I mean the ball just fires like a rocket from his arm, but still not a JR arm. I think when he starts for us, he'll have the strongest arm in college football.
If Mr. Perrilloux had signed with the State Dawgs 2 years ago, he would not be riding the pine the evening of August 30. We were really hoping he would be a Bulldog. He should of gone to a college where he could have started for at least three years, based on the talent I saw displayed in his high school videos. He would have started at State at some point during his first year, in my opinion, and never sat down. Go Dawgs! ClaraDawg
