I don't have the NCAA rule book in front of me but I think there is probably a rule or two in there that applies to allowing your training facility to be used as a place to rape kids. This isn't a one time incident by one monster. This is a case of an entire administration ignoring the ongoing rape and molesting of children at their facility for more than a decade.
This goes far beyond the scope of the NCAA it is ridiculous. The NCAA needs to stay out of the way. When the dust settles they can decide what they want about the PSU program but at this point they don't need to be investigating anything.
I think the water is still too muddy to make a determination of whether or not a death penalty is in order. It does not appear that NCAA rules were violated. However, I think enough high ranking officials from Penn St knew about the situation and CHOSE to sweep it. We only know of a handful of staff members who were aware of what was going on. I am willing to bet there were many others. If there was a massive cover up scheme, which at this time it certainly appears to be one, then I think SOME form of punishment by the NCAA needs to be considered. If this were an isolated incident involving 1-2 individuals, then I would say no NCAA sanctions. Clearly that is not the case here.
Little kids in the sports facilities..... Little kids.... What are we missing... None did **** about it. Fcking unacceptable…
I think there are probably several reasons. 2 that come to mind immediately are: 1. The reputation of PSU 2. JoePa chasing the winningest coach record
Completely irrelevant. I don't have anything against Penn State. Never liked, disliked or gave much thought to Joe Paterno or Penn State. One of those schools that I'm completely indifferent about. But if this happened at LSU I would want the entire program shut down until the situation had been resolved and then try to make a clean start.
